Cultural Olympiad Sarajevo 2025

Dear friends,

The Cultural Forum in Bosnia and Herzegovina with the International Festival Sarajevo Sarajevo Winter is implementing the Cultural Olympiad Sarajevo 2025 in the period from 21.6. to 21.12.2025.
We have received the support of the State Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina for Cooperation with UNESCO
chaired by Ms. Dubravka Bošnjak, Minister of Civil Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the patronage of Ms. Audrey Azoulay, Director General of UNESCO and Mr. Alain Berset, Secretary General of the Council of Europe and Mr. Denis Bečirović, Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We would be honored if you would participate and be a co-organizer of this art festival that we will organize with cultural and artistic institutions that are interested in partnering with us in Bosnia and Herzegovina and in your country.
We are open to cooperation and mutual introduction of artists and their creative achievements that, in accordance with our agreement, can be presented in your country and in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Cultural Olympiad is based on the Art Manifesto that we published with artists from around the world at the first online Cultural Olympiad in 2021.
We are confident that it will be a unique event with a Creative Cultural Calendar from all areas of creativity of artists from around the world.
We expect your answers, suggestions and questions by June 15, 2025.
In particular, suggestions for your participation in the simultaneous opening of the Olympiad on June 21, 2025 and the closing on December 21, 2025 in different parts of the world in order to send a common message of artists about the right to culture, freedom of expression, peace, development and defense of human dignity and responsibility for others and those who are different. Together this year we celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the UN and UNESCO, the 77th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 75th anniversary of the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.
