On 18 June 2026, the Dutch Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation opened the exhibition Israel/Palestine; Pain and Hope at Weimarstraat 300 in The Hague. Deputy Mayor Mariëlle Vavier, former Mayor Wim Deetman, and representatives of the Jewish and Palestinian communities participated in the opening. The final speaker was the experienced Egyptian curator Prof. Dr. Afaf Badran, head of the Initiatives of Change Art Planning Team, who had been invited by the Dutch Network to the Netherlands to curate and install the exhibition.

The event was unique in bringing together a wide range of perspectives, reflecting the essence of dialogue. The exhibition is open daily from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and runs until 8 July 2026.

In her opening address, Deputy Mayor Vavier warned of increasing polarization. "People are being set against each other—sometimes unconsciously, sometimes very deliberately. In the media, on social platforms, and unfortunately also by politicians who should be serving the public good. We seem to have forgotten how to truly listen to one another."
