In the near future, soft skills may become more important than technical skills - this insight was shared during the DoImpact project seminar “Digitalisation of the Social Economy Using Data and Artificial Intelligence”

They open doors to new opportunities across all professions and are likely even transforming the professions themselves. When people say that artificial intelligence tools will take our jobs, that is only partly true – they are reshaping the labour market. At the same time, they create opportunities to acquire new skills and become even more effective professionals. In many companies, it is already hard to imagine that in three, four, or five years there will be employees without at least basic AI skills.

While machines can learn to code, build websites, or identify patterns in large datasets, such as company budgets, it is unlikely that technology will be able to feel empathy, truly understand people, or anticipate societal changes. We are delighted that not only the LiSVA - ALF LT member -team is participating in the seminar, but also other organisations from Lithuania: Syvas.lt, Ignalinos District Local Action Group, Debesų kiemas, and Baltic InnoLab have taken the opportunity together with Taula 3sector and Cluster Digital de Catalunya.
