Dissemination Event of the “CULTURACCESS – Culture

Thematic area: Human rights

Language: English

23, February 2026, Razlog, Bulgaria

The dissemination event within the “CULTURACCESS – Culture and Museums Accessible for All” project was organised by International Initiatives for Cooperation in Razlog, Bulgaria. The initiative was implemented within the framework of a European-funded project aimed at promoting cultural inclusion and improving access to museums and cultural heritage for people with cognitive disabilities.

The event presented the project’s main activities and results, including cultural and museum-based workshops, training courses for youth workers, awareness-raising campaigns on mental health and cultural welfare, and the development of accessibility guidelines and a multilingual website. The objective of the event was to share the project outcomes, highlight its social impact, and encourage the continued integration of disadvantaged groups through culture.

Participants, including youth workers, educators, professionals, and community members, had the opportunity to learn about the developed tools and explore how the results could be applied in their own contexts. The project highlights the role of culture in supporting mental well-being, fostering a sense of belonging, and encouraging active and democratic participation. By bringing together young people, professionals, and community members, it helps build more inclusive communities where diversity is recognised as a value rather than a barrier.
