On 30 August 2026, Victory Day in Türkiye, volunteers from FETEM (Fethiyem Clean Environment Protection, Mutual Aid, Culture and Solidarity Association), a member of the ALF Türkiye Network, carried out an environmental clean-up on the Fethiye Peninsula. Part of the team collected waste from the sea using paddle boards, while a second group cleared plastic bottles, glass bottles and other litter from the coves along the peninsula. The municipal police teams and the environmental cleaning teams of Fethiye Municipality also supported the action. Organised to protect nature and to draw attention to environmental awareness, the activity brought volunteers and municipal teams together in a shared effort and produced encouraging results along the shoreline.
