The Finnish Institute in the Middle East, together with LiO and Oodi Library, is launching a new Arabic Language Café to promote language learning and cultural exchange in Helsinki.
Starting on Thursday, October 23rd, the café will gather every Thursday from 17:15 to 18:45 for seven weeks at Oodi Library’s Group Room 4.
The initiative offers participants an informal but structured space to practice Arabic, explore cultural topics, and connect with both fellow learners and native speakers. Each session will be led by two instructors, with guest speakers from the Arabic-speaking community joining on select weeks.
Participation is free and open to everyone, regardless of language level or background.
According to the organizers, the goal is to build community and encourage cultural understanding: “We want to make Arabic come alive at Oodi.”
