The 2025 High-Level International Conference on Freedom of Religion or Belief, hosted in Prague on 12–13 November 2025, was organized in cooperation with Czech state institutions and expert partners. The event brought together government representatives, civil society actors including Czech Anna Lindh Foundation grassroots members, academics, and religious communities to address current challenges related to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion worldwide. Among the official partners of the conference were the Anna Lindh Foundation and the Institute of International Relations, contributing their expertise to the programme.
The conference was held over two days at two symbolic venues: Prague Castle, under the auspices of the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at Czernin Palace. The programme combined high-level political interventions with expert panels and academic perspectives. A special tribute marked the Dalai Lama’s 90th birthday, highlighting his lifelong commitment to non-violence and freedom of conscience.
