On Wednesday, June 11, 2026, the workshop From Story to Change: Sustainable Development in Practice was held in Slunj, the fourth in a series of workshops that the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Local Communities and Tourism (ZORA), a member of the Croatian ALF Network, is conducting in eight Croatian cities as part of the Community Potentials program.

Through an interactive questionnaire and examples of good practice, the participants discussed what sustainable development means in their everyday lives. They were inspired by examples that show how local tradition can become a driver of economic and social development of a community. A particularly lively discussion was sparked by topics that are particularly close to the participants: drinking water and its protection, local food, its production and availability, ecology and volunteerism, and the transfer of knowledge from older to younger generations.
