The Institute Voluntriat attended the International Conference of Volunteer Cooperation Organizations (IVCO), which took place from September 14 to 18, 2025, in Siem Reap, Cambodia. The conference is led by the Forum and brings together leaders of volunteer agencies from around the world.

The Forum exists to facilitate knowledge exchange, improve practices, set standards, and strengthen cooperation across the volunteer and development sectors.

This year’s main conference theme was strengthening civil society through global volunteering.

As part of the International Forum on Volunteerism in Development, the Global Standard for Volunteering was developed to support organizations working with volunteers in improving the quality, impact, and accountability of their programs. The guide provides detailed instructions for using the standard to assess, plan, and enhance volunteer practices.
