The "Her Civic Quest" initiative implemented by Madanyat for Equality under the Women's Participation in Leadership project - led by UNDP and UN Women with support from the Government of Canada, and in collaboration with Beirut Arab Univeristy (BAU) and Saint Joseph University of Beirut (USJ) - is empowering female students to lead meaningful change.

"Her Civic Quest" seeks to strengthen leadership, advocacy, and gender justice skills among young women, ultimately enabling them to develop and implement actionable plans to advocate for gender reform within their universities.

In Phase 1, participants received foundational training in:

• Negotiation skills
• Advocacy strategies
• Leadership development
• Conflict resolution
• Gender justice

Building on this foundation, Phase 2 delved deeper into:

• Political messaging
• Needs assessment
• Lobbying techniques
• Debate skills

These interactive sessions provided participants with advanced tools to enhance their advocacy and leadership skills.

In the upcoming Phase 3, students will receive personalized coaching to refine their initiatives and bring their action plans into life, paving the way for sustainable change on their campuses.
