A team of six participants from the Institute for Applied Research for Business (IARB), including three key staff members from the Institute and three teachers from the primary schools Parenija Zografski, Kiril Pejcinovikj, and Vera Ciriviri Trena (associate partners in the project), took part in an international capacity-building event held in Heraklion, Crete, from September 22-26, 2025. The event was organized by the Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (I.A.K.E.) from Crete, Greece.
The activity was organized within the framework of the Erasmus+ project “Empathy in the Digital Age: Harnessing Technology for Understanding and Connection (DigiEmpathy)”. The event, which brought together 32 educators from five countries, including Macedonia, Greece, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Turkey, focused on strengthening teachers’ skills to create supportive and inclusive digital learning environments based on empathy. The program included interactive workshops, expert lectures, and opportunities for international collaboration. During the event, four distinguished international experts shared their knowledge and approaches on integrating empathy into modern educational practices. Their contributions covered themes such as
transforming theoretical frameworks into classroom applications, digital storytelling, and harnessing creative technologies to promote inclusiveness and student engagement.
