Ilijana Budimir Trupina and Bruno Grebenar receive valuable acting awards at Gulina days.
The Vitez City Youth Theatre performed at the 15th Festival of Acting Achievements "Gulina days" in Petrovac na Mlavi (Serbia) last weekend. At this exceptionally strong and high-quality festival, the Vitez theatre actors performed the play "Pyjamas for Six", which was co-produced by GKM Vitez and the Croatian Cultural Centre Nova Bila.
There was great interest in this play and more seats were literally being requested. The audience, in the packed hall of the Cultural Centre in Petrovac na Mlavi, reacted brilliantly to the acting of the actors from Vitez and rewarded them with applause on several occasions during the play, and greeted them with a standing ovation at the end.
The quality acting did not go unnoticed by the members of the expert jury, who were extremely satisfied with what they saw, which ultimately resulted in two out of four awards going to Vitez.
Namely, since this is a festival of acting achievements, a total of four acting awards were given. The award for best leading female role was won by Ilijana Budimir Trupina from GKM Vitez, while the award for the leading male role went to Valentin Oljača, actor of OAP " Branislav Nušić" Malo Crniće. Bruno Grebenar, a member of GKM Vitez, won the award for best male episodic role, while the award for best female episodic role went to Jelena Lukić from the Cultural Center "Sveti Stefan Despot Srpski" from Despotovac.
"First of all, I would like to thank our excellent hosts for their wonderful hospitality, but also to the wonderful audience. Thank you also to the members of the jury for their great ratings and the awards. Of course, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate our ensemble on another quality performance, and especially Ilijana and Bruno on the awards they won," said Ivan Sajević, head of GKM Vitez.
The jury members were well-known and prominent Serbian actresses Isidora Minić, Jelena Matijašević and Dragana Dabović.
After the awards were presented in honor of the festival, and as a gift to the audience, the actors of the "Dragoljub Milosavljević Gula" Theater premiered the play Rest My Husband, based on the text by Aldo Nikolaj and directed by Miloš Jagodić.
