The seminar “Spanish Cooperation in Action: Transformative Partnerships for the Promotion of the Rights of Rural Palestinian Women and Jordanian Women with Disabilities” was organised by Fundación Promoción Social through its Middle East Studies Centre (CEMO), in collaboration with Casa Árabe, the Euro-Arab NGO Network for Development and Integration (READI), and with funding from the Spanish State Secretariat for Foreign and Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. It took place at Casa Árabe in Madrid.

The activity consisted of an international seminar aimed at promoting dialogue and exchange on the rights of rural women in Palestine and women with disabilities in Jordan. It brought together representatives from public institutions, civil society, academia, and international cooperation to share experiences, policy approaches, and field practices.

The seminar was framed within the context of persistent structural inequalities and fragility in the Middle East, which disproportionately affect these groups. Its main objective was to connect contextual analysis with cooperation practice and policy design, strengthening inclusive and sustainable approaches, fostering local capacities, and supporting transformative partnerships to advance women’s rights and equality.
