Crossing Borders, Head of the Danish Network of the ALF, in collaboration with the ALF Denmark Network members, is proud to present this year’s International Women’s Day event, an eye-opening experience aimed at fostering necessary conversations in a time of growing divides.
In the spotlight will be The Lonely Soldier Monologues, written by Helen Benedict, along with a captivating poetry performance by acclaimed poet Pernille Tolou Isedora Johansson. This powerful event celebrates the resilience, strength, and compassion of women in bridging divides, raising awareness, and fostering compassion across different walks of life.

Open Discussion with the Actors A brief discussion with the actors, exploring the themes of the monologues and allowing for audience questions and reflections.

Meet the Cast and Creators: The actors featured in The Lonely Soldier Monologues include Rebecca Langley Jensen, Karina Møller, Dawn Wall, Nora Kopp, Kristen Flanagan, Wanjiku-Victoria Seest, Aragorn Xavier, and Nikolei Damgaard. The performance is directed by Anna Skanborg and produced by Rebecca Langley Jensen. All actors are from CKI – Center for Kunst & Interkultur, member of the Danish Network of the ALF.
