The implementation of the project entitled 'Invisible buildings – Transforming empty spaces and buildings for a climate-neutral future' that brings together partners from five European Union member states, namely France, Greece, Croatia, Slovakia and Slovenia, began on February 1, 2026. Main goal of the project is to contribute to the improvement of urban and climate public policies by promoting the energy renovation of empty and unused spaces, with the aim of achieving a climate-neutral building stock.
Member of the Croatian ALF Network, Society for Sustainable Development Design (DOOR), as a project partner, will primarily contribute to the implementation of the mapping of empty and underused spaces in Zagreb, as well as the collection and processing of data necessary for planning interventions. It will conduct and organize local policy laboratories, involve stakeholders, co-create solutions, and produce a local policy brief with recommendations for representatives of local self-government units.
