Lisboa Mistura Returns to Capitólio to Celebrate Diversity and Multiculturality

The Lisboa Mistura Festival, promoted by the Portuguese member organization Sons da Lusofonia, is back at Capitólio, bringing an extraordinary celebration of diversity and multiculturality to the heart of Lisbon. On the afternoon of October 13, 2024, the festival will feature a rich lineup of performances, blending traditional and contemporary sounds from around the world.

From the Funaná of Cape Verde with Memé Landim to the Ukrainian polyphony of Litá Folk Band; from the Afro-Brazilian samba resistance of Coletivo Gira to the urban popular music of Guinea-Bissau with Guto Pires; and the Portuguese tradition of Adufe & Alguidar to the pan-Africanist percussion of Mick Trovoada, Mbalango, Demba Djabaté, and Overzak. The lineup also includes educational Hip-Hop by OPA - Oficina Portátil de Artes and a fresh version of LisNave, featuring renowned artists like Valete, Carlos Martins, Jery Bidan, Francisco Rebelo, Iuri Oliveira, and Alexandre Frazão.

The festival also includes storytelling by Catalina Figini from Argentina and an intercultural craft market, showcasing the vibrancy of global cultures.
