On the 29th of January, 2026, the members’ meeting of the Anna Lindh Foundation – Lithuanian Network took place, and it was very interesting event with lots of opinions, sharing, dreaming and deciding together! It was a meaningful space to meet, exchange experiences, and discuss our common directions ✨
📍 During the meeting, we talked about what is especially important today:
🔹 intercultural dialogue;
🔹 respect for diversity;
🔹 strengthening civic engagement;
🔹 and our future development plans! 🚀
Very important part of the gathering was the lecture of Kamal Ahamada (originally from Comorian islands), who gave us a lecture “From Postcolonial to Post-Soviet: A Personal Journey”. The session was built around four short personal stories/extracts from my essay . Each story opened a different angle on belonging, language, care, and how we meet each other across difference. After each extract, Kamal guided a short moments of collective reflection/discussion, so the participants could react, ask and grounded. Also it was so impressive to have a traditional Comorian dinner prepared by Kamal (with lots of explanation about the food and traditions)
The ALF Lithuanian Network is currently coordinated by Youth centre "Babilonas".
