FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
From August 21–23, Mors will transform into Denmark’s cultural epicenter, hosting hundreds of debates, performances, and artistic experiences.
This Thursday, August 21 at 11:00–12:00, the official opening of Kulturmødet Mors 2025 takes place on the People’s Stage (Folkescenen) at KulturPladsen.
The ceremony will feature speeches from Mayor Hans Ejner Bertelsen, regional chairman Mads Duedahl, and festival director Caspar Ryttergaard.
As always, tradition meets art: the Craftsmen’s Choir will sing the Limfjord anthem, while the Danish Dance Theatre offers a preview of their performance “Bloody Moon.”
The highlight of the opening will be a conversation between Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and Lykke Friis, director of Think Tank EUROPA, on how culture can help strengthen democracy in uncertain times.
