On Saturday 18 January 2025, in Vitez premiere of the play "Anka and Stanko - Mojanka" by the Sinj People's Theater and the City Youth Theater Vitez

The audience in Vitez is waiting for the premiere of the play "Anka and Stanko - Mojanka", which was co-produced by the Sinj People's Theater and the City Youth Theater Vitez, this Saturday. The performance will be played in the Vitez Theater Hall on Saturday, January 18, 2025, starting at 8:00 p.m.

The play is the result of the cultural, economic and social connection between Split-Dalmatia County and Central Bosnia County. The patrons of the show are the Split-Dalmatia County and the County of Central Bosnia. The first play had its premiere in mid-December in Sinj, where it delighted the audience.

The plot of this play is based on an event from the 17th century in the wider Sinj region, which was passed down by word of mouth for a long time until it was processed and written down by Ana Vidović (1800-1879), the first poetess of Croatian literature. "Anka and Stanko - Mojanka" is a love tragedy like Miljenko and Dobril from Kastelani-Trogir or universal Romeo and Juliet on the stage.

Along with the actors of the Sinj People's Theater and the City Youth Theater Vitez, members of the Association for the Preservation of the Heritage of the Cetina region also participate in the play.

The Sinj People's Theater and the City Youth Theater Vitez are leaders in the cultural cooperation between the Split-Dalmatia County and the Central Bosnia County, and their cooperation has been going on for more than a decade and is based on the signing of the Agreement on Cross-Border Cooperation between these two theaters.
