Open call: STPLN:Lab (Malmö)
Applying to STPLN:LAB STPLN:Lab is open for new applicants! The Swedish network member, STPLN is accepting applications between the 4th and 17th of November. Location: Malmö, Sweden. STPLN has been a centre for Do It Yourself DIY culture in Malmö for over ten years. Many projects have been born and grown here. Since 2022, STPLN runs the cultural incubator STPLN:LAB, which is a skills development programme for the independent cultural scene and the creative industries. It is a platform for the freelancers and small businesses that produce the raw materials of the creative industries: art, music, dance, design, literature, podcasts, films, photography, performances, exhibitions, architecture, games and more. The programme runs over 12 months and gives you as a participant: - your own desk space at the STPLN office, if you need it - 1–on–1 meetings regarding your business, if you wish - skills development workshops focusing on economics, social and legal aspects as well as sustainable tools to use for you and your business, and more - STPLN becomes your laboratory where you can test, investigate, explore directions for your business These are the selection criteria: You work at least 50 percent with your artistic practice. You have a good grasp of your artistic processes but feel that you have more to learn when it comes to the business side: things like economics, law, insurance, business forms, financial planning, marketing, communication, sustainability, and more. You have the need for a permanent workplace with colleagues from similar industries for a year. You are interested in broadening your horizons and discovering new opportunities. You are open to international exchanges and networking. You plan to run your business as a freelancer or in a small company with few employees. You like the idea of learning from others and sharing what you know. You have the possibility to travel to Malmö to take part in the activities Apply here!
