PiNA, cultural and educational association has launched a new project, Participatory Science for Youth, which aims to strengthen trust in science and promote active participation of young people in Slovenia.

With the aim of sustainable development and greater social recognition of participatory science, they want to strengthen the capacities of organisations and enable young people to conduct practical research through educational programs, networking and advocacy.
As part of the project, a preparatory meeting was held on February 27, 2025, and project activities were intensively planned with project partners.

The entire project includes training trainers and mentors in the field of participatory science. In addition, new workshops for young people will be developed, which will be held in schools. A circle on the topic of participatory science will also be prepared, intended primarily for young people who are interested in such topics, but do not have the opportunity to learn about these topics within school. A larger participatory campaign will also be organized as part of the project.
