Partners Albania for Change and Development is leading Thematic Working Group IV, "Civic Space and Democratisation," within the Civil Society & Think Tank Forum (CSF) of the Berlin Process 2026.
Established in 2014, the Berlin Process is a cooperation platform supporting dialogue and the European integration of the Western Balkans, and the CSF is one of its mechanisms, giving civil society a channel to contribute analysis and recommendations to the Process's agenda.
As leader of the working group, Partners Albania will guide the group's work throughout the year, organising regional consultations and coordinating cooperation among partner organisations and experts. This process will culminate in evidence-based policy recommendations to be presented at the Civil Society Forum 2026 in Prishtina and at the Berlin Process Leaders' Summit in Podgorica on 22 October 2026.
The CSF 2026 is organised by the Open Society Foundations – Western Balkans, in partnership with the Government of Kosovo and in cooperation with the Government of Montenegro. Civil society organisations and experts across the region are invited to take part in the consultations feeding into the working group's recommendations.
