The Portuguese member organisation PédeXumbo invites the public to take part in its vibrant October cultural programme at Espaço Celeiros, in the historic city of Évora. Over three days, this dynamic venue—housed in the former EPAC granaries—will host a series of dance and singing workshops, talks, a documentary screening, and traditional folk balls, offering a space where artistic expression meets community participation.
Led by experienced trainers Paulo Santos, Mercedes Prieto, and Enrique Matos, and joined by the French musician and dancer Joachim Montbord, the programme celebrates intercultural exchange through movement and music. The Occitan Singing Workshop, held in partnership with Fundação Inatel at the Inatel Museum, highlights shared Mediterranean traditions and the living dialogue between cultures.
Through this initiative, PédeXumbo continues its mission to preserve and renew traditional performing arts while creating opportunities for connection, inclusion, and joy across generations and cultures.
