PRISM Impresa Sociale, member of the Italian ALF Network, is contributing to the World Kidney Day initiative through the event “NefroChef – The Taste of Life”, focused on food innovation and sustainable nutrition. The initiative is part of the REINVESTIR project, funded under the Interreg NEXT Italy–Tunisia programme.

The event brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, and local producers to explore innovative food solutions based on Moringa oleifera, a plant known for its nutritional and functional properties. These products are specifically designed to support patients with chronic kidney disease, transforming dietary restrictions into high-quality gastronomic experiences.

Held on 12 March 2026 in Palermo, the initiative includes a culinary challenge involving patients and internationally renowned chefs, promoting awareness of health, sustainability, and innovation in the agri-food sector.

Through this activity, PRISM strengthens Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and contributes to the development of sustainable food systems that integrate research, local communities, and economic actors.
