Report: National Meeting of the Czech ALF Network

Czech ALF Network Spring Meeting 2025

On April 10, the Czech ALF Network held its national hybrid meeting at the Institute of International Relations Prague / Ústav mezinárodních vztahů, the Head of Czech ALF Network institution. The event welcomed members both in person and online and focused on current developments within the Anna Lindh Foundation, as well as upcoming opportunities for collaboration.

Highlights from the meeting included:

Introduction of new members who joined the network since October 2024: Multicultural Center Brusinka, Association for Migration and Integration (SIMI), UPOL Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology – Department of Communication, Biouhlírna / Cirkus C, Studio ALTA, Age Management, and Puppet Theater Ostrava.
Reflection on internal processes, including the adoption of the Network Internal Rules and plans for launching an Advisory Committee.
Summary of a recent Volunteering for Intercultural Dialogue survey with 42 participants from 9 member entities. The survey confirmed that volunteering remains a key tool for integration, while also highlighting barriers such as language, capacity, and funding.
Presentation of ALF Open Calls (ALFinMotion and ALF Hands-On), enabling members to prepare for these recurring opportunities.
Overview of current Czech involvement in cross-border projects:

• Festival arabské kultury (ARABFEST) in Plzeň with Moroccan filmmaker Asma Adnani

• Studio ALTA’s collaboration with Egyptian dancer Islam Elarabi

• DW7 Divadlo na cucky working with French group Collectif Grenade
Announcement of upcoming activities, including the AI Ethics & Risks Webinar on May 27, 2025, and participation in regional consultations, such as those on the new Mediterranean Pact and the EPICON Project.
