The Romania's National Academic Debate Team, trained by Ardor won the Nordic Schools Debating Championship (NSDC) 2026.
High school debate teams from northern countries and other European states participated in this international competition. Participants gained experience in English-language academic debate at an international level and preparation for world championship competition.
The Romanian Cultural Institute provided transportation for Romania's national team to Copenhagen.
NSDC is the last major international test for the national teams before the World Schools Debating Championship (WSDC) in Kenya during summer. NSDC is a flagship tournament for the Danish Debate Association, held annually in the first quarter of the year. It provides a platform for high school students to engage in WSDC-style debates, which is a popular parliamentary debating format. The tournament aims to foster debating skills among students, from beginners to advanced, and is known for its high-quality judging.
