FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
Implemented in collaboration with Buldan Foundation, Geleceği Paylaş Civil Initiative, and Yaşar University’s Women and Family Studies Application and Research Center, the “I Am a Woman, I Exist with My Rights” project is supported by the European Union Delegation to Turkey and carried out within the framework of the WE ACT program, led by ALDA in cooperation with Daktilo 1984 Association.
The project aims to raise awareness of gender equality among women, combat discrimination, and empower women. In line with these objectives, the “Rural Rights-Based Gender Equality Literacy Training” module was developed to equip women with the necessary knowledge and skills to better exercise their rights in daily life.
During the development of the training module, a comprehensive consultation meeting was held with the participation of public institutions, non-governmental organizations, private sector representatives, and women. Additionally, a survey study was conducted.
As a result of these efforts, a training content covering key topics such as gender equality, gender roles, and women’s rights was prepared. Designed with respect for participants’ cultural values and beliefs, the module features an interactive structure aimed at increasing engagement and awareness.
As part of the project, the "Training of Trainers" program was launched on February 6 with an opening speech by Buldan District Governor Turan Erdoğan. The pilot training sessions took place on February 7-8 in Buldan, attracting significant interest from participants. Through the trainers who successfully completed the program, the developed training module is expected to reach a much wider audience. This project contributes to sustainable change by helping women gain a better understanding of their rights and strengthening their presence in society.
