FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
This April, the International People's College (IPC) invites the public to Discovery Days, a thought-provoking week where science takes center stage through engaging talks, humor, and open dialogue.
Some of Denmark’s brightest researchers will guide attendees on a journey into the world of science, tackling timely and relevant topics -from global politics to the ethics of dating an oilman- all in an accessible and entertaining format.
The program kicks off on Thursday, April 24 at 20:00 with a scientific stand-up show, where research meets comedy. Expect sharp wit and deep questions, including a mathematical take on the ethics of dating someone in the oil industry, presented by Ali Eftekhari from the Technical University of Denmark.
On Friday, April 25 at 16:00, political scientist Ben Dorfman from Aalborg University offers a timely lecture on Trump’s first 100 days (again), exploring the evolving role of the U.S. in global affairs. Afterward, join students and guests for a casual Friday Bar, drinks and dialogue included.
The series concludes on Sunday, April 27 at 15:00 with a session on the Politics of Victimhood, led by Vincent Charles Keating from the University of Southern Denmark. Coffee, cake, and critical discussion are on the menu as we unpack how victimhood can be a powerful political tool.
All events will be held in English and are free of charge.
To attend, simply email event@ipc.dk with how many people are coming and which days you’ll join, whether one, two, or all three.
