This year, the Youth Information Center – Karlovo and the Ladies’ Club Rose Valley once again joined forces in support of the #NotOneMore campaign for the prevention of violence against women and carried out the initiative “Spread Love, Not Violence!” on the 13 February.

Thousands of women live in fear, psychological and physical abuse every day. Dozens lose their lives each year in Bulgaria and around the world, killed by a partner or spouse.
Since the beginning of 2026 alone, 4 women in our country have been killed by their partners. In 2025 they were 24, in 2024 – 18, and in 2023 another 21 women lost their lives “in the name of love.”

Young people distributed sweet Valentine’s treats with messages of love and mutual understanding, along with campaign leaflets.

The initiative is implemented with the financial support of the Bulgarian Fund for Women under the project “Birds in BG”2, co-funded by the European Union.
