In Salfit Governorate, the Community for Cooperation Development Association, with funding from the Taawon Foundation, has implemented the STEAM community education program targeting 500 children from the towns of Bedia, Qarawa Bani Hassan, and Sarta. As part of the program, the first summer camp in the region is currently being organized, engaging 300 children from the same communities.
The program is based on a modern educational methodology designed to develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills among children and youth through the integration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).
This approach shifts away from traditional rote memorization toward interactive learning rooted in exploration, experimentation, and innovation, enabling learners to become active participants in building knowledge. It integrates real-life activities and projects that allow students to apply skills collectively to solve practical and creative problems.
