Thematic area: Democracy and community development

Language: English

It will take place in Lithuania. Implementation period: 1 September 2026 – 31 December 2028, Project partners: Vilnius Social Club, Refugee Council of Lithuania and Foreigners’ Integration Centre 🇪🇺 The project is co-funded by the European Union.

ALF LT member Foreigners’ Integration Centre is launching a New Project: Strengthening the Educational Inclusion of Children of Third-Country Nationals. A new project aimed at strengthening the educational inclusion, social integration and well-being of children of third-country nationals living in Lithuania.

 The project seeks to create better opportunities for children from migrant backgrounds to participate fully in the Lithuanian education system and become active members of their school communities.

Throughout the project, children will have opportunities to:

strengthen their Lithuanian language skills;
develop social and communication skills;
participate in cultural and arts activities;
take part in sports and recreational activities;
access individual and group consultations for children, parents and teachers.

The project will also contribute to stronger cooperation between children, families, schools and professionals, helping to create a more inclusive and supportive educational environment believing that inclusive education is an important foundation for social cohesion. By supporting children in developing their language, social and cultural skills, we aim to reduce social exclusion, strengthen their sense of belonging, and enable them to participate more actively in educational and community life.
