FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
The Anna Lindh Foundation is participating in the conference 'Reclaiming Our Shared Humanity' to strengthen the voice of Euro-Mediterranean civil society.
Various representatives from the Anna Lindh Foundation and entities from the Spanish Network are actively participating in the conference "Reclaiming Our Shared Humanity," an event organized by the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) with the support of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission.
With more than 200 participants from 30 countries, the conference brings together civil society members to address the growing polarization, hate speech, and radicalization—critical issues in the context of the Middle East conflict.
As representatives of Euro-Mediterranean and Spanish civil society, members of the Anna Lindh Foundation contribute to fostering inclusive and constructive dialogue. Their contributions reinforce the collective commitment to a region united by peace, mutual respect, and social cohesion, promoting a collaborative approach to overcoming the challenges facing our societies.
The event highlights the importance of civil society as a fundamental pillar for building inclusive and resilient societies. The discussions and sessions will lead to the development of a Joint Declaration and the creation of an Advisory Group of experts, which will present key recommendations in the framework of the 30th Anniversary of the Barcelona Declaration of 1995, thereby strengthening cooperation and understanding in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
This conference is an essential opportunity to unite efforts and work on concrete strategies to counteract the dehumanization and radicalization that generate so many negative effects on coexistence. As civil society, it is our duty to lend our voices and perspectives to promote positive and lasting change.
