Transforming Trauma to Hope: Summer Camp for Palestinian Children

Holy Land Trust (HLT) is proud to share the success of its latest transformation project, the “Trauma to Hope” summer camp, organized in partnership with Edward Said National Conservatory of Music and Palingua Center. The art therapy camp hosted 80 kids aged 6-14 years old from Bethlehem and surrounding areas, creating a supportive environment for emotional healing and growth.

Over the course of the camp, the children participated in art therapy sessions, languages, storytelling, drama workshops, and outdoor games. These activities were carefully designed to help the children process their emotions, develop resilience, and cultivate a sense of joy and hope.

The highlight of the camp was the final day, which featured a special showcase where children presented their artwork and performed skits. Their creativity and enthusiasm were clear evidence of the camp’s transformative impact. Parents expressed their gratitude, emphasizing how the camp provided their children with a much-needed space for healing and self-expression.

This initiative reflects Holy Land Trust’s commitment to transforming trauma into hope and empowering the younger generation to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.
