“Tuzlalive” – Mediterranean Day

Thematic area: Arts

Language: English

November 28th, the Cabaret Club of the Lukavac Cultural Center

On November 28th, the Cabaret Club of the Lukavac Cultural Center was filled with the magic of the Mediterranean, thanks to the extraordinary performance of the young and talented members of the “Oktofonija” ensemble, composed of musicians from Tuzla and Lukavac. The audience had the opportunity to enjoy an incredible repertoire, performed in as many as 16 different languages, from Greek and Spanish, through Old Albanian, and all the way to Bosnian. This unusual musical group consists of: Denis Bajrektarević – percussion, Dani Trutović – saxophone, Elmir Rašidović – guitar and mandolin, Malena Vlkov – guitar, Ilda Hamustafić – vocals, Nerma Zejnilović – clarinet, Lamija Sarić – piano. Lamija Sarić took us through the concert with a story that is hundreds of years old, and it is about a poetic legend about Mare Ondarino, a boy of the sea and waves who, traveling through a dream, passes through the songs of the Mediterranean, from south to north, from east to west.

Great support from the ALF allowed the Mediterranean spirit to spread to our region through the organization of this concert by the Tuzla Live association.
