Representatives of "Aleksandër Moisiu" University of Durrës (UAMD) took part in a three-day study visit to Kalabaka–Meteora, Greece, organised within the European project SustainTour – Capacity Building of VET Providers in Sustainable Tourism.

Co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ CB-VET programme and coordinated by BEE Group SA, the project brings together partners from Albania, Greece, Cyprus, Kosovo, and Spain to strengthen vocational education and training institutions and develop a new "Sustainable Tourism Advisor" profile.

The visit combined expert sessions with field visits focused on sustainable destination development, heritage interpretation, and community-based tourism. Partners explored the Meteora–Pyli UNESCO Global Geopark, the Holy Monastery of Saint Stephen, the Theopetra Museum and Cave, the village of Gavros, a Digital Projection Centre, and several local museums, examining how cultural and natural heritage, digital storytelling, outdoor tourism, and community participation can build more inclusive and resilient destinations.

The programme closed with a joint reflection on how these lessons can support tourism education for VET providers in Albania and Kosovo. Read more at sustaintour.eu.
