FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
On 26 June 2025, a public roundtable titled Unequal Tongues: Local Struggles for Linguistic Justice was held at the Esch Clinics in Esch-sur-Alzette. The event formed part of Redes_Ling, an international research project addressing language inequality and communication technologies, which ran a one-month programme in Luxembourg.
Representatives from Wichi Lhomet, CONAMICH, CELES-UNSAM, and Radio ARA shared insights on how language barriers affect access to education, rights, and recognition in places like El Chaco, Buenos Aires, and Luxembourg. The discussion highlighted how marginalised communities use radio, social media, and AI translation to assert their voices and challenge dominant language regimes.
Redes_Ling is supported by the EU and continues until 2028. The Luxembourg phase concluded with workshops, multilingual broadcasts, and a final event at Radio ARA on 28 June.
