We are delighted to share some fantastic news! Upbeat Music House has been officially awarded a grant through the Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) program to host an exciting youth exchange project focused on the art of storytelling. This project, titled "Tales 2B Told: Empowering Youth Voices for Change Through the Expressive Art of Storytelling," will take place in the beautiful coastal village of Marsaxlokk, Malta, from July 19th to 27th, 2025.

Following our initial help and advance planning meetings, preparations are moving swiftly. The project aims to bring together young people from partner countries—Cyprus, Portugal, Lithuania, Slovenia, and Romania—to participate in a variety of creative activities. These include scriptwriting workshops, digital storytelling sessions, collaborative storytelling exercises, and cultural showcases. The main goal is to empower youth to express themselves confidently, share their unique perspectives, and foster a sense of inclusion and intercultural understanding.

Storytelling has always been a powerful tool for connection and change. From ancient campfire tales to modern social media narratives, stories shape how we see the world and ourselves. By focusing on storytelling as a means of self-expression, this project aims to boost participants’ communication skills, boost confidence, and promote mutual respect across diverse cultures. We believe that giving young people a voice through storytelling can inspire positive change in their communities and beyond.

Malta, with its rich history and vibrant culture, provides an ideal backdrop for this exchange. Participants will stay in the picturesque village of Marsaxlokk, known for its colorful boats and lively markets. The activities will be held at the local Youth Centre, and the experience will include cultural visits, local cuisine, and opportunities to showcase their stories.
