Under the patronage of Captain Gawhar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through the General Directorate of Youth Organizations within the Central Administration of Youth Centers and Organizations, in cooperation with the Central Association of the Egyptian Sea Scouts, organized the activities of the first Sea Scout Festival under the slogan "We Sail with the Scouts" at the Major General Mohamed Anwar Abdel Latif Sea Scout Center in Alexandria.

The festival was attended by nearly 700 scouts, leaders and volunteers from the Egyptian Sea Scouts. The events began with a naval salute and the entry of the flags, followed by a complete naval display in which 21 diverse naval units and vessels participated, including 7 group rowing boats, 5 individual rowing kayaks, an Inboard unit, an Outboard unit, two Optimist sailing units and a Cutter sailboat, in a display that reflected the skills, discipline and ability to work as a team that the Sea Scouts possess.

The Ministry of Youth and Sports affirmed its continued support for the scouting movement and its role in shaping the character of children and youth.

The Sea Scouts also emphasized their commitment to providing maritime activities for all.
