The Foundation for Sustainable Living (FSL), together with its international project partners, organised and implemented WESEP – Women Entrepreneurs Shaping Economic Participation, an Erasmus+ project funded by the European Commission and the Luxembourg National Agency Anefore. The initiative brought together aspiring and established women entrepreneurs to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills, expand their professional networks, and deepen their understanding of economic participation and European decision-making.

Implemented in Luxembourg in September 2024, WESEP was developed in response to the continuing underrepresentation of women in entrepreneurship and economic leadership. The project aimed to empower participants through interactive training sessions, practical business development activities, and an immersive learning experience at the European Parliament, where participants took part in a role-play simulation as Members of the European Parliament. Through debates, negotiations, and voting on EU directives, they gained first-hand insight into European policymaking while strengthening their leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

By combining entrepreneurship training with civic education, WESEP encouraged participants to become more confident business leaders and active contributors to economic and democratic life. The project also fostered international exchange, collaboration, and peer learning, equipping women entrepreneurs with practical tools, new perspectives, and lasting professional connections to support their personal and professional development.
