Associazione Quote Merito, in collaboration with the Municipality of Colleferro and local civil society partners, organised the 2026 edition of the “White Night of Legality” on 27 February in Colleferro, Italy. The initiative combined educational activities in local schools during the morning with a public evening event in the city square, involving institutional representatives, community leaders and cultural actors.

The event aimed to promote a culture of legality, transparency and civic responsibility among young people and the wider community. Through debates, public discussions and artistic performances, participants reflected on the importance of democratic values and active citizenship in daily life.

The initiative was developed within a broader commitment to strengthening community awareness and preventing corruption and social disengagement. By creating an open and participatory space for dialogue, the event encouraged intergenerational exchange and reinforced cooperation between public institutions and civil society organisations.

The White Night of Legality represents a concrete example of how local initiatives can contribute to democratic culture and social cohesion.
