FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
A powerful gathering of 145 young people from across Denmark took place recently at the Playmaker Camp hosted at GAME House in Copenhagen. The event brought together aspiring coaches and community leaders for a transformative experience that combined sports, life skills training, and personal growth.
At GAME's Playmaker Camps, participants—known as Playmakers—receive hands-on training to help them lead weekly activities in their local communities. Through a mix of lessons in sports such as basketball and gymnastics, along with crucial life skills such as teamwork, communication, and conflict resolution, young leaders are prepared to become not only better coaches but also impactful role models.
The camp also emphasized values of equality and inclusion, offering tools to foster positive change in local neighborhoods. It aims to support young people facing mental, social, or economic challenges by providing them with the confidence and resources to make a difference in their communities.
In a touching moment of solidarity, the Playmakers at the camp sent a heartfelt message to their colleagues in GAME Lebanon, many of whom are currently living in a war zone. As bombings continue to displace families, this gesture highlighted the strong, international bonds within the Playmaker community, reminding everyone that their work transcends borders.
