FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES
Lebanese Spotlight is a youth-led NGO established in 2017, officially registered under number 1166. With around 300 volunteer youth aged 15 to 29, our organization is driven by young people from our community. Our primary mission is to empower youth to become agents of change, dialogue, and leadership through volunteerism and community service.
The Youth Force project aimed to cultivate a group of 20 young leaders aged 18 to 25 in Beirut. Through training sessions on democracy, advocacy, and leadership, these youth were empowered to engage in social and political issues. A significant achievement was the organization of a public debate on waste management and recycling, involving the Minister of Environment, Dr. Nasser Yassine. The debate attracted 36 attendees, including elderly individuals, representatives from international and local NGOs, and young people. Another notable accomplishment was a debate with Lebanese Parliament Member Ibrahim Mnaimneh, which focused on the role of youth in elections and decision-making processes. This event drew an audience of 42 people. Following these initiatives, the youth planned and implemented community awareness campaigns and advocacy efforts. However, due to the recent war in Lebanon, they shifted their focus to emergency response and assisting displaced individuals in shelters. As one participant, Aya (25), expressed, "Interacting with the governor was a transformative experience. It made us realize that young people can drive change and implement meaningful initiatives". Youssef (23) added, "Participating in Youth Force helped me discover my skills and knowledge, and I'm eager to apply them to make a positive impact".
