FOCSIV, an Italian civil society federation based in Rome and member of the Anna Lindh Foundation Network, launched a national Call of Interest on 27 February 2026 inviting young people under 35 to participate in the development of Italy’s first Youth Voluntary Review within the framework of the National Sustainable Development Strategy.
The initiative, promoted in collaboration with institutional partners, aims to strengthen youth participation in public policy processes related to sustainability. Selected participants will contribute to the design and testing of innovative tools such as youth impact assessments and participatory monitoring mechanisms.
The activity is implemented within a broader national effort to ensure that sustainability policies integrate intergenerational perspectives and reflect the priorities of younger generations. By involving young citizens directly in policy evaluation processes, the initiative promotes inclusive governance and democratic participation.
The call represents an important step toward institutionalising structured youth engagement in sustainable development strategies across Italy.
