FLAGSHIP PROGRAMMES

This publication brings together two key directions for the personal, professional and social development of young people: mentoring and activism. On the one hand, we explore mentoring as a process of providing support, guidance and resources to young people on their development journey, while on the other hand, we deal with activism, which represents engagement and struggle for positive social change through various forms of action. Both directions are extremely important in empowering young people, enabling them to recognize their abilities and take active roles in their communities.
Although mentoring and activism are often viewed separately, in practice they are intertwined and complementary. Young people who go through the mentoring process receive tools for critical thinking,
communication skills and support that empowers them to take active action. Mentoring is, therefore,
a bridge that prepares young people for the challenges of activism, while activism offers an opportunity to apply the acquired
knowledge and build a support network.
This publication offers a comprehensive look at both segments, highlighting the value of mentoring as a foundation for building successful and motivated young leaders, as well as the importance of activism in enabling young people to become spokespeople for change. On the one hand, here you can explore guidelines for successful mentoring, and on the other hand, a roadmap for effective activism. Both directions represent part of a larger picture – the picture of a generation of change, ready to learn, adapt and act for a better society.
