Abstract

The article discusses how digital technology can empower women peace mediators in conflict resolution. Despite UN efforts, women’s participation in peace processes remains limited, and structural barriers persist. Emerging technologies like AI, blockchain, and virtual reality can enhance women’s mediation efforts by improving communication, providing data-driven insights, and ensuring transparency. However, challenges such as cyber risks, online harassment, and limited digital access must be addressed. Expanding internet access, training programs, and ethical technology use are key steps toward inclusive peacebuilding. With the right strategies, technology can help create more equitable and effective mediation processes.
